Here in the Midwest where I live, we’ll be heading into the cold months in the blink of an eye. For people who can relate, we know it’s important to take care of those lips!! πŸ‘„

I found an awesome & easy recipe to create your own lip exfoliator. Mix 1/4 cup of brown sugar with 1/2 cup of coconut oil of your choice. I found a cute container to store it in, and they say it will last about 6 months. However, use your best judgement and discard if it has a strange look or smell. The product will harden slightly or become more of a liquid with temperate change (that’s normal). You can use it for a body scrub, but I just use it for lips. Here’s what mine looks like:

Another favorite of mine is the Motives by Loren Ridinger Lip Exfoliator. This one works really well! Plus, it’s in a tube shape like lipstick, so you can throw it in your purse wherever you go! I absolutely love the smell of it too because it’s a little bit minty. That one can be found HERE

Lastly, after exfoliating, I’m always sure to put on a lip moisturizer. The very best (in my opinion) is actually an ointment that can be used for many things! It’s called DNA Miracles Soothing Ointment. It’s all natural and it works wonders on lips, dry skin, spots with pesky eczema, diaper rash, and it can even be mixed with essential oils and rubbed on the skin (A good friend taught me that trick) instead of Vicks Vapor rub. Talk about multi-purpose πŸ™‚ and that one shown below can be found HERE

I hope this info helps you out. It’s gotten rid of dry winter lips for me and is even a great routine to do before applying lipstick! It makes for a nicer looking application. Have a great Monday, everyone!
