Let’s Face it, Part 1: the cleansers

Happy Friday to all the lovely people! In ‘Let’s Face it, Part 1’ I’m discussing my favorite two products for cleansing my face (check out part 2 for the post-shower skin care routine ;)).

I feel super fortunate to have been introduced to the lines I’ll be discussing because I’m extremely passionate about the results people see with them. The two different lines I’ll be focusing on in this post are Lumiere De Vie and Fixx. I’ve mentioned Fixx in a previous post with hair care, and it’s great because they have more than that!

Some people may ask why using a cleanser is important, as I’ve heard a lot of people say they don’t wash their face with any product. Cleansing your face is really important because not only are you removing impurities, pollutants, oil and makeup, but cleansing also prepares the skin for the application of serums and moisturizing products. Clearing the pores allows treatments and moisturizer to penetrate into your skin for maximum effectiveness.

First I’ll start with my daily cleanser. It’s the Lumiere De Vie Facial Cleanser. The ingredients in this cleanser help to the keep the skin moisturized and also create an even skin tone and brightness. Who wouldn’t love a bright complexion? For me personally, I definitely noticed the evening out of my skin tone because before using this cleanser I had some slight red spots with dry patches. It has a fresh lemony citrus smell and I absolutely love it because of the top-notch results it delivers for an afforadable price. This is something that any skin type can try because the ingredients are very mild and vitamin based.  🙂

The second product is something I use 1-2 times each week. It’s called the FIXX Microdermabrasion (see featured photo). It comes in a really sleek black container, and it smells AMAZING! (I am actually obsessed with the smell and texture of this product, it reminds me of whipped creme with tiny little beads in it……anyways). With this product you take a small amount and gently massage your face in the shower to remove dead skin and unclog pores revealing radiant and smooth skin. It promotes a bright and youthful complexion and it doesn’t cause irritation like some of the other microdermabrasions on the market because it contains aloe vera and chamomile. When testing it on my hand I felt a cooling sensation as I massaged it into my skin.
