Hey everyone! I used to write a lot of book review blogs, and broadened my subjects to a lot more than just books. Today I’m taking it back old school to talk about one of my favorite subjects again! I just finished reading a really insightful one called ’30 Lessons for Living” and I wanted to share some things the book talks about. Also, for the first time in a while I bought some new ones that I’m excited to share with you guys and read as well 🙂 enjoy!
—>30 Lessons for Living, “tried and true advice from the wisest Americans.” The author of this book asked thousands of elderly people across the country for advice on different life topics and their answers are REALLY interesting, and often times the opposite of what you’d expect the response to be.
One of my favorite sections of this book is where the author asked people in their 80s, 90s, and beyond how they feel about fear, old age, and death. None of them feared death, or anything at all for that matter. I often times have fears of such irrational things, and reading this section really helped me look at things differently. I strongly suggest everyone read this book because it covers so much! The book also talks about:
- Having a purpose
- Living without regrets
- Abandoning worry
Now that I’m done with 30 Lessons for Living, I’ve moved on to reading my next one called “Girl, Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis. My friend Taylor recommended this book to me and so far I’m absolutely loving it.
The other two books I bought & plan to read this summer are “The Daily Stoic” and “The Compound Effect.” What are some books you’re loving?
